Port Noarlunga

New Years Eve

We are in Port Noarlunga – just caught up with Derry and Barb (it’s been 1 ½ years since we last saw them – Olivia was only 4 months old) – I have just put Olivia down for her afternoon sleep (let’s hope it’s a long one as it will be a late night tonight)!

We left Windsor Gardens at 10 this morning and had to stop off at the Good Guys – you wouldn’t believe it but the second air con we bought wasn’t working properly either (so we didn’t get much sleep last night) – so we got a way better one (double the speed etc) for the same price! Keeping our fingers crossed its third time lucky! The Good Guys have actually been very good and helpful – no questions asked – just replaced them and for a good price too! Well so far the new air con is awesome – it’s 40 degrees outside and in the caravan I’m as cool as a cucumber!

After the Good Guys we travelled through Glenelg to get to Port Noarlunga – it was super busy (they are having New Years Eve Fire Works there tonight so people were already arriving to pick a good spot to watch – this is the ritzy suburb of Adelaide!

Note: Olivia is loving these holidays – she settled in after a couple of days – and is now quite used to travelling in the mornings – she is happy and chirpy in the car – but as soon as it gets to lunch time she starts to get wingy and then it’s time to pull over and get out of the car for the remainder of the day! I’ve also noticed that she is starting to open up a bit – not as shy (which could be coz we are on holidays) – she waltzed right into Derry and Barb’s house and made herself at home – before she would have clung to our legs and not let us go – but she was soon opening doors etc and exploring! She has learnt to say hello – and now stops everyone to say “ello” with her cute little smile and wave! Some other new words are “us” (bus) – “uck” (truck) – “lane” (plane), “ish” (fish) – hmmm not really words but we understand her lol – we have seen soooo many trucks she couldn’t help to learn that word –every time she sees one – she gets all excited – “uck uck mummy” – so most days while travelling that’s what we hear!

Well it’s the last day of the year – 2010 – We get to greet in the New Year in another part of this beautiful country Australia - We are soooo lucky and thankful to live in this beautiful country and have enjoyed every moment we have spent exploring – hopefully we will have many more years to come to explore more! We wish everyone a wonderful New Years Eve and God's Blessings for 2010 - wherever you will be tonight xxoo

You are a year behind. I know 2010 was a wonderful year, but do you want to do everything over again?
