It’s taking us a bit to get used to the time difference at the moment – we got up at 7.00 this morning to try to get on the road by 8ish (but that meant that in Perth time it was 4.30am! So we were pretty tired – but we were only aiming on getting to Streaky Bay today which was an hour’s drive! We stopped over at Smoky Bay for a cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs and then took a long walk along the jetty! Olivia loved watching the oyster boats come in and out being pulled by the tractors!
From there we continued on to Streaky Bay – where we have set up camp and settled in for the day! I managed to get some washing done and Olivia and Ryan are both in bed getting an afternoon sleep!
Well Olivia has been very accident prone these holidays – she fell over again today and scraped her knees a bit more and then just before she went to bed she fell out of the caravan and landed on her head – so she has a nasty scrape on her forehead! But nothing that a good dose of panadol and good sleep won’t fix!
The tides here remind us a lot of Broome and Cape Leveque – it was awesome – we went and collected cockles and cooked them up as a snack this afternoon! We then took Olivia for a walk on her bike and had a look at the Christmas Decorations!
Tomorrow we are hoping to get to Port Lincoln (which is 290km’s away) – hope to leave nice and early so we can have another relaxing afternoon being tourists!
