It's been a week since I last blogged.....

Well it's been a week since I last blogged and I got a friendly reminder yesterday that it's about time I did some blogging and I totally agree lol. It's just been one of those weeks - people to catch up with, women's club, house to clean etc etc and I just haven't had time to blog. I've also been making some cards which takes up a bit of time as well. Following are photos of the cards I made this week. Ok girls tell me - how do you convince hubby that Stampin Up is a great hobby to have and doesn't cost toooo much (well if you think about it Ryan spends a lot more on fishing gear I'm sure)! But he doesn't see that lol. He likes the cards I make and he's glad I've got a little hobby now but he still isn't convinced about me buying lots of products and trust me I need a lot more - I've got the bare basics and it gets very frustrating when I want to make cards. But hey I'm really happy with what I've got and I love doing it so I'll keep plodding on.

Well last week I went to the doctor's for a check up to see how this diet is going (he is such a sweet doctor) and wants to keep an eye on everything. So I had my blood tests and guess what my blood sugar level is back to normal - in fact it's great. Before I started this diet I was borderline diabetes - one of the reasons I went on this diet to begin with - but now I'm all back to normal which makes me really really happy - it's all worth it. I'm off to another doctor next month and hopefully he tells me the same thing about another thing that was wrong with me and I'll be very very happy then. It's amazing how the body reacts to too much food and fat. I still have to loose another 20kgs (actually I picked up my niece the other day and she weighs 18kgs - which feels quiet heavy - so I have to loose another one of her!). We are off to get weighed in tomorrow night so I'll let you know then our results again.

Hmmmmmm I went op shopping on Saturday - I'm loving this op shopping. I went to the RSPCA Op Shop in Port Kennedy and I came away with 10 articles of clothing for $40. I'm very very happy. Especially a jacket which cost me $8 and looks brand new. It's such an awesome little shop and the girls at church commented on my outfit how nice it looked - took pleasure in telling them the top cost $2.50 and the skirt cost $5 and the shoes cost $5.00. It's a great little shop and a little bit more upper class then some of the op shops - but sooooo worth it.

Wow wasn't Saturday an awesome day as far as the weather goes. Such an amazing storm and thunder and lightning pretty much all day long. I had just finished op shopping and dropping in at Ryan's work to make sure he was working - lol - Went to Bunnings to buy new little lettuce plants to plant - paid for them - umbrella inside out coz it was soooooooo windy - ran to my car - jumped inside and wham bam the storm hit. It took me 3/4 hour to get home (normally 10 minutes). Everything was a mess - branches and debris all over the road and hitting my little car. Trees across the road - zero visibility - In the end I had to pull over on the side of the road like the other cars waiting for the worst of the storm to pass. But I love storms - that really dark sky - the thunder and lightning - it's just sooooo amazing and awesome - It shows you how in control of everything God is - How awesome He is and thunder and lightning makes me feel so much closer to Him - His power is awesome. Well I made it home safely to find the dogs whining at the door (well Victa was growling at the thunder) and they were a little bit wet coz the rain and the wind had managed to get the whole patio soaking wet. So a real indoors afternoon. I cleaned out my entire pantry (so much junk food in there still and when I'm finished this diet I don't want that food in my pantry anymore). So I decided it was the perfect time to clean it! The more I stay on this diet (well lifestyle change) the more I realise how much it is becoming part of our lives - it seems to get easier as the months go by and I'm hoping this is a good sign that when we are at our goal weight we will be able to keep the weight off and maintain it.

Well it's the long weekend. This Monday morning I'm doing a bit of washing and housework and then at lunch time we are off to do some 4wd at White Hills with Will & Bron and Kids. The weather looks great and the sun is shining again so it should be a nice afternoon.

Well that's it from me again. I'll try to post tomorrow night or Wednesday night with our weigh in results.

Till then I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend.

Ciao, Erica xx

Great cards i lovem, you have made a lovely choice of variety there.
Just tell Ryan every woman and everyone needs a hobby and remind him his is fishing.
I agree we never have enough product and while you can stock up because that day may not last forever:)

Great update Erica.
Your cards are stunning and it certainly looks like you are enjoying your SU goodies. Keep it going.
The storms were certainly amazing on Saturday and left a big mess everywhere.
All the best for your next weigh-in - I'm sure it will be great.
I have to say I've found a great little op shop down our way where I've found some fantastics things - it's fun and even better that it's a bargain price.
Enjoy your week.

Hi Erica,
I typed a reponse to your blog last night and lost it.
Great blog post. The storms were sure rough last Saturday. I love it though. It went real dark all of a sudden, very eerie. The lightening and thunder raged. Sometimes it still makes me wonder how people can think there is no God.
All the best for your weigh-in, I'm sure you'll do great.
