A Rainy Saturday!

It's Saturday night and I'm sitting back relaxing sipping my cup of green mint tea. I've got a bit of a sore throat and chesty cough so I'm hoping that a nice hot drink will make me feel better soon. Just finished watching the Eagles play and wow they finally won a game - go the Eagles. It's raining at the moment - I've got the heater going and I'm sitting here behind my computer relaxing. Bang another thunderclap - It's thunder and lightning - I sooooooo love these winter days and nights and the best is when you can be at home wearing trackies and ugg boots.

So another working week has come to an end. Yesterday afternoon I went to Bron's place for a cuppa after work. It was also Amber's 10th Birthday. To celebrate they were going to Sizzler for dinner. We were invited along. Wow now that was going to be a challenge. Should we go or decline the invitation. In the long run we decided we would love to go along - it would be another good test of our will power. So off to Sizzler we went. We ordered a main meal with the salad bar (because that way we could have our steak) and also our vegetables/salads. Well I can proudly say we both did very very well. There was ice cold water there so that was our drink. Our steaks arrived with chips on the side and sauces (but we gave them to the kids) and of course they had all the salads we were allowed to have. So it was a hugh success. Yes it was tempting at times - but you can't let food rule your life - Here was an opportunity to spend an enjoyable night with some really great friends and that's what we did.

Wow can you believe it - a photo of me!

Another photo of me - Ryan was getting camera happy and decided to snap off a couple of shots!

This morning I woke up bright and early to do the usual housework and washing etc. Ryan got up early as well to fit the new bull-bar and winch to his car. His mates Steve & Phil came around to help. Ryan is still in the shed putting the spotties on his car and doing the last finishing touches.

The car before the bull-bar and winch were put on!

The front bumper has been taken off!

Ryan tinkering under the bonnet. Note the bull-bar is now on the car!Another shot of the bull-bar!

This afternoon it was a nice rainy arvo with a bit of a thunderstorm. A real indoor's kind of day. I went to Michelle's place. We did a bit of shopping and then went back to her house. I needed to make a card with a money pocket so we had a quick look at Splitcoast Stampers for some good ideas. After gathering ideas we came up with the following 3 cards! We used my new Garden Whimsy Stamp Set.

I love this colour combination!

Also love this one - the black and red and white go awesome together!

I tried to take a photo of the inside. This little pocket in the middle is where the gift card or money goes in! It is then tied together with ribbon!

Well it's 9.30pm and we are off to take the car for a quick test drive to check to see if the spotties are working etc. Wishing everyone a blessed Sunday!

Ciao, Erica xx
