My Darling hubby surprised me with a bunch of Red Carnations today! He can be a very thoughtful husband and I love him dearly!

Well once again it was late night grocery shopping tonight. I can't wait till Easter is over and there are no more easter eggs on the shelf tempting me. It's soooooooo hard having to walk past the easter eggs - i'm really really craving chocolate at the moment - so far chocolate is the food I miss the most.
Two more weeks and then we go in again for our second weigh in. People are starting to notice the difference - been getting some comments. I love getting comments coz it motivates me - coz people are noticing means I must be doing something right! But as one of my friends said when you loose weight people say "wow you look great" - but does that mean that I didn't look great before. But I don't take offence to people saying I look great (I've said that to people as well - I know what they mean)! I also know that my friends love me regardless of my size!
This long weekend we are starting our vegetable garden - so off to Bunnings we go on Saturday to buy all our little vege plants - tomatoes, capsicum, onions, cucumber, asparagus etc. Got to read up a little bit about companion planting before I get started. Ryan is getting some limestone blocks to make a border and I get to plant all our little vege plants. Can't wait! I'll post some photos when its finished. I already have a herb garden - which I use all the time - but now we are going through sooooo many vege's we thought it might save us some money if we get our own vege patch. It's funny before we started our lifestyle change - I would buy vegetables most weeks - but I was always throwing them out because they had gone off (vegetables were not really part of our diet at all). But now I'm having to go shopping during the middle of the week to buy more vegetables.

Question - Does anyone know where we can buy a Mushroom Kit for at home from - we have looked in Bunnings but they won't be getting any in for a couple of months. We are eating a lot of mushrooms so would like to grow our own. If anyone knows where I can a kit from please let me know. That's another thing that's changed - I never had mushrooms before - when I was growing up we never ate mushrooms at home and I always thought they were slimy yucky tasting brown things - but now with every meal I have a couple of mushrooms. It's amazing how you can change your taste buds when you know you have to.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter and hope you all have an awesome long weekend!

Mushrooms - yum, yum! Same here - we never ate them much growing up, but we both love them here (not Kiera though!!).
Hope the vegie patch goes well. I planted tomatoes at the end of last year and they did well without too much tlc.
Enjoy those fresh vegies when there are planted and of course ready to eat, fresh is best. All the best as you both enjoy your lifestyle change and hey who wants chocolates:) Enjoy the weekend!
One thing with vegie patches is that you always tend to give heaps away because everything is ready at the same time and you end up with heaps of lettuce or spinach or whatever. Enjoy your organic garden, I'm sure you will get a kick out of growing it yourselves. Photos when the garden is ready ok?
Enjoy watching it grow!
Vegie patches are heaps of fun. We have just cleared ours so we can start again. The boys always loved to check what was ready to pick. Nothing better than fresh out of your own garden. Maybe try Mitre 10 for the Mushroom Kit?!?
Glad you are feeling so motivated with your diet - keep it up and all the best as you head towards your next weigh-in.
