Macaroons, Biscotti and Strawberry Dessert

As the title suggests I'm trying to combine a couple blog posts in to one - I'll be doing a couple like that - I've really been using my camera again lately (I guess with having a newborn in the house I'm very much into taking photos and capturing all those early moments that will soon be forgotten when my little baby will grow up way to quickly) :)

So I made it my mission to try and make 'Macaroons' - the french style ones - the ones that are on Master Chef and on My Kitchen Rules that Nick and Rocco made and looked soooo awesome and easy to make - well mistake #1 was to think they were easy - wrong thinking :)

I tried 4 attempts before my macaroons finally worked out - that was finally after looking up lots of tips and hints on the internet that the cookbook just didn't tell me about and finally I'm making the perfect macaroon - super super yummy and just gorgeous to look at :)

My Raspberry Macaroons worked out as well - I also made some Coffee and Walnut Biscotti - super yummy as well - great with a nice cup of coffee for afternoon tea :)

Last night we went to Mum and Dads for dinner and I made these super yummy Strawberry and Raspberry Trifles with Fresh Strawberries and Raspberry Coulis - They were a hit :)

Why all this baking lately - well all because of my new kitchen - All my handy machines are right there where I need them - no longer packed away coz I have no room and all this space - oh and of course I have an oven that works now - so things actually work out instead of turning to mush :)
