Tasty Cheesy Vegemite Scrolls.....

Saturday I was in a baking mood and decided to try these Cheesy Vegemite Scrolls for Olivia to have for lunch (well me and Ryan ended up eating most of them coz they tasted soooooo yummy). Below is the recipe!! I'm also going to try a variation on these and do Chocolate Paste and Sultana ones....I'll let you know how I go.

Cheesy Vegemite Scrolls

1 1/2 cups wholemeal self raising flour (or plain self raising flour)
3/4 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
Grated Cheese (I used Tasty Cheese)
Vegemite

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celcius. Rub the butter (at room temperature) into flour till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs consistency. Gently mix milk into flour mixture till the mixture comes together in a ball. Turn out onto a floured surface and roll out into a rectangle about 1cm thick. Spread the vegemite all over (as much or as less as you like). Sprinkle with as much cheese as desired. Roll up and cut into slices about 2cm thick. Lay them sliced side up on tray. Bake for 15 minutes.

Variation - substitute vegemite and cheese with chocolate paste and sultanas.

Happy Baking xx
