tick tock tick tock tick tock - Everything is sooooo quiet and I'm listening to the clock and also the gentle hum of our fish tank - It's 5am in the morning and my hubby has just left to go deep sea fishing with the boys. Of course I wake up when he does and for some reason this morning I haven't been able to go back to sleep. So I thought why not just type another post - my thoughts as everything around me seems so peaceful. I love early mornings - its dark outside, I've let the dogs inside and they are soundly asleep on their mats next to me, I've got the heater going and I'm feeling great. I love Saturday mornings coz you have an entire day in front of you to relax and enjoy - no worrying that you have to go to work and that I have to hurry up and get ready - no I can sit back and relax knowing that I can get ready whenever I want to - no rush, no hurry - just relaxing. I've done all my house work last night - including the outside work - I decided to mow the lawns yesterday - Hmmmm must be unusual seeing me mow the lawns - one of the kids across the road asked me why I was mowing the lawns - He mentioned that usually Ryan does it so why would I want to do it - lol told him that it was good exercise! He just laughed and then proceeded to tell me about their house they had in Mandurah that had overgrown grass - he is a cute kid - actually mowing the lawns or doing the gardenings is a good way of catching up with your neighbours - they all tend to come out and have a chat!
Ever since starting this diet I've noticed that I no longer need as much sleep - I'm becoming a morning person again I think! I've changed my hours at work once again (I'm starting at 8am now)! I used to start at 7am but when i got so sick I changed my hours to 9.30am. But now that I'm feeling so fantastic I thought why not start going back to normal hours. Next month I'll go back to 7am again. The great thing about starting at 7am is that its really peaceful at work. The factory guys are just arriving and the office girls won't start for another hour - leaving total peace and quiet - no one talking - but everyone just relaxing enjoying their early morning coffee or tea! So I sit behind my computer going through the work I have in front of me for the day and then I start designing and drawing the kitchens - sometimes i listen to my MP3 player - other times not - Ahhhhhhh the Serenity (lol - if you have watched The Castle - you will understand that comment).
Well for me today what am I up to. Well first off I have to go to Tropigold Aquariums in Rockingham. Two days ago our fighter fish died - so I'm off to buy a new one. Then time to go to HarbourTown. Haven't been their for a while and my sister Amanda asked me if I wanted to go along with her today so I said why not!
This afternoon I'm planting my tulips. So off to Bunnings to buy some more pots and potting mix and everything that is involved in planting tulips. The weather is good the timing perfect so hopefully in a month or two I'll have some beautiful flowers. Tulips are my most favourite flower. I had tulips as my wedding bouquet - I love them!
Well I'm going to leave you with those thoughts and make myself a cup of tea and then who knows what I'm going to do - might type some e-mails and check my e-mails and then maybe I'll start getting ready to greet the sunrise!
Coming Monday is our third weigh in - looking forward to it once again! Can't believe how fast the three months have gone - faster then I expected.......
Bye, Erica xx

Hey Erica, 5am???!!! Wow, you wouldn't catch me out of bed that early - I guess having a little one doesn't help - I enjoy catching as much sleep-in as possible. Oh, and I've got the flu at the moment, so bed sounds like a far better place to be :). Glad to hear you are feeling great ... look forward to hearing a weight up-date next week.
Take care,
Sarah
5am is early!! Isn't is great when you feel relaxed and life feels so good. Enjoy these moments. I must say lately, I've been a real morning person. Didn't have one sleep-in during the holidays. I would get up when Warren left for work, 6.30ish and enjoy the peace and quiet for the next hour before the boys got up. Mostly made cards with a cuppa - was very enjoyable.
Sounds like you have a great day planned. Harbour Town - what fun!! Enjoy your gardening and the rest of the weekend. All the best for Monday - I'm sure you've done just wonderful. Take care
What, 5am???? I'm definitely not a morning person, I've had too many early mornings to last me a life time. I just want to sleep, sleep, sleep.
Sounds like your Saturday plans are a winner.
I too love tulips, they are so dainty, aren't they.
Well, hopefully Ryan catches some nice big fish for dinner!!
Good luck with your weigh-in on Monday, can't wait to hear the results.
Hiya
Wow you pack a lot into your saturday, I would be stuck at Harbour town ALL day long lol.
Tulips are really pretty flowers, what colours did you get?
Have a great weekend
Cheers , Connie
Hey Connie
I got pink and purple, yellow and red tulips. Also got purple iris! Can't wait for them to start flowering! I have to pack a lot into a saturday coz I work full time - leaving only saturday to do it all! Take care xx
Wow Erica, that was quite a read. Hey early mornings, i lovem. Chan i am with you, no sleep ins in the holidays, that i can remember! If i wake up early and cant get back to sleep, i think i must have had enough rest, so may as well get out and get going!
All sounds fabulous those plans of now gone by Sat. Hope you enjoyed the day, and Ryan caught dinner and your weighin will be exciting!
