Planting Fruit Trees

Last Saturday we spent the entire day digging holes in our backyard - all getting ready to plant our fruit trees. We were only counting on planting 3 trees but in the end we had to go the nursery and we somehow (don't ask me how) bought another two fruit trees. As a result we now have 2 apple trees, 1 orange tree, 1 plumcott tree (cross between a plum and an apricot) and 1 Peacharine tree (cross between a peach and a nectarine). Now they are all planted and all we have to wait and watch them grow - hopefully in 10 years time they will be full grown and will be producing lots of fruit and some nice shade! Patience, patience......
Ryan busy digging holes to prepare the ground for fruit trees (filled the holes with a mixture of sheep poo and landscapers mix)!

Had to take this photo - Victa watching the world go by - he never ever jumps over the fence but he has scared a few people that might have been walking by - it does look quiet funny if you are on the other side of the fence.
Our peacharine, 2 apple and plumcott trees all planted!

Our Orange tree!
Victa - funny he decided that these holes made a nice bed!

Well I've got tomorrow and Friday off from work and I'm looking forward to having a relaxing day tomorrow - not doing much - but definitely sleeping in and then some shopping I think -
Hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend!

Erica, are you serious??????? You have to wait 10years before you get to eat the fruit??? Oh my, now that's patience. Have a great couple days off and make the most of your sleep in...something I can only dream about right now.
Enjoy and take care.
